"The Oresteia" of the Greek tragedian Aeschylus is considered one of the highlights of Western drama. Based on the Greek myth, the trilogy revolves around the delusion and guilt drawn by the sex of the House of Atreus.

The Greek Prince Agamemnon returns victorious from the Trojan War to return to Argos, with the Trojan Prophetess Cassandra as war booty. But much has changed during his long absence from the court: his wife cheating on him with his cousin Clytemnestra Aegisthus, Orestes, his son lives in exile, and his daughter Elektra out the unfortunate life of a slave. Clytemnestra and Aegisthus kill Agamemnon as treacherous, the siblings decide to swear on the grave of the father's revenge and avenge the death of Agamemnon. The bloodiest family history of world literature takes its course.
